Böckmann Horses 2021

20 L ord P ezi N o longer an insider tip Not many stallions establish such a positive reputation among inter- national show jumping riders as this sire. Through his successful off- spring, Lord Pezi has firmly secured his place as one of the best inter- national jumping sires that the WBFSH (World Breeding Federation for Sport Horses) has ever had. Lord Pezi was ahead of his time, pro- ducing modern and fast horses capable of jumping demanding courses carefully, quickly and bravely. Everyone knows that you recognise the quality of a sire by his offspring. Katharina Offel rode Lord Spezi at the Olympic Games in Hong Kong in 2008, and in the same year he made it onto the list of the top 100 show jumping horses. Over the ye- ars, professionals such as Beat Mändli/CH, Christian Ahlman, Mario Stevens and many other riders looking for talented jumping horses with a strong constitution have trusted in Lord Pezi’s genes. In his first five seasons at stud, when he sired a total of 96 foals, 13 or more than one-sixth of them went on to be successful advanced level show jumpers. That’s pretty impressive. Five of these horses then made it onto the world ranking list. We are following the progress of Böckmanns Lord Pezi Junior with Pedro Veniss/BRA, Lorelli and Jan Werncke, Lord Fauntleroy with Markus Brinkmann, big- earner Landano OLD with Mario Stevens, Lieschen with Benedikte Endresen/ NOR, Lump with Louisa Müller and many other of Lord Pezi’s offspring with pride. His progeny guarantee that his genes will be passed on down the generations. Lord Pezi’s dam also produced top show jumper Böckmanns Life, Gilbert Böckmann’s very successful international competition horse over many years. Lord Pezi’s progeny currently include 18 licensed sires and champion stallions. Collectively, they have lifetime competition winnings of EUR 1,876,552.00.
